Do storm peaks and icecrown quests (you can do them while working towards 80 as well). This goves you enough emblems for at least 2 pieces of gear and the gold to buy a few of the now cheap p1 boe items, crafted or drops. 1) Violet Hold - Think of Black Morass 2.0, except much more forgiving.
