I'm pretty sure Crimson/corruption needs to be a certain distance from housing. Best bet is to usually build up if its gotten that bad. Use either regular wood (or pearlwood if you have no option), build straight up about 50-75 blocks (if you use something can be corrupted, remove it immediately to prevent spread), then build new housing.. Does anyone know what that means? It doesn't mean that the blocks are in a corruption biome, does it? Over spilled corruption/crimson or hallowed are very easily contained this way, on the surface. It is beneficial to have some neutral underground and cavern sections (mainly for fishing). Currently, there are 2 yo-yos that do something special, the Hive-Five and the Terrarian. I came up with a couple more. Yes it would. The npcs dont want corruption in a 50 block radius. If you keep that up yes they can live there. Theres a catch tho. Npcs have preffered biomes sp putting them all in the sky wouldnt be that smart. Wyverns also spawn during hardmode and would kill youre npcs. So i wouldnt recommend it..
