I just got the recoil spring in tonight and it doesnt seem to be fitting correctly. The guide rod is sticking out of the front when the slide is forward, and when the slide is locked backwards the rod is canted to the side resting on the grip module. The field stripping procedure is as follows: Unload and clear the pistol. Rotate the takedown lever counterclockwise 90° (left) Pull the slide back and then up to unhook it from the frame. Slowly push the Slide forward until you feel the Striker Pin barely make contact with the Sear. With the pistol pointed in a safe direction, slowly pull the Trigger to lower the Sear. Most are right hand shooters and that way the pistol still works well, and the takedown is now on the right side. Since the slide catch is on both sides, wouldn't matter. Simply lock the slide back, then on the right side of the pistol push the takedown lever down and remove the slide. Simple. Also no lever in the way.Take-down lever is very hard to turn.
