Sounds like you gotta get aerialite another way. Since your world was made before the update, disenchanted aerialite didn't generate on sky islands. And since you killed perforators/hive mind after the update, it didn't generate in either the caverns or on sky islands. You can get the ore from aerialite slimes tho.Regular Sky Islands should have spawned. That is where you would find Aerialite ore nowadays.
