I have a Pentair Intelliflo VSF pump and am planning to get a Circupool Edge 40 SWG (the IG pvc lined pool is ~20-25k gallons). I don't have any automation equipment attached to either yet. Bottom line: I really like having a SWG, the CircuPool RJ45+ is great (as long as the cell lasts me 5+ years). It’s close to set and forget, once you get past the “settle in time”. Of course periodic checking of the chems is important but I believe more a weekly to every other week now with my SWG. The correct way to connect a SWG is to wire it to use the same circuit as the pump. When the pump is not getting power the saltwater generator also will not get power. Some ways to do this are to wire them both into a timer switch.
